My husband loves black and white movies and the other day; I decided to join him. One thing that stands out for me when I see these old flicks is that women (and people in general) spoke so differently back then. It made me wonder if we have just become so lackadaisical with language – tone and cadence, or did they really speak differently and for a reason? Well, yes there is!
